Day 1: Hanoi Arrival — Old Quarter by Night
Meet your English-speaking guide on arrival at Hanoi International Airport and transfer privately to the city centre for check-in at Movenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre. At 4:00 PM, walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and hop on an electric buggy for an original tour of the Old Quarter's colonial landmarks. Sip a signature cocktail on a rooftop terrace overlooking the lake, then board a traditional rickshaw for a ride along Trang Tien Avenue past the Opera House. The evening ends in a beautiful ancient house with a curated tasting of Hanoi's most iconic street-food specialties.
Airport transfer ~45 min / 30 km
Standard check-in: 14:00

Day 2: Hanoi — Full Day City Tour
Begin at the Temple of Literature to hear about Confucianism's still-visible influence on Vietnamese society, then taste iconic lotus tea at a nearby tea house. Walk through narrow alleys, a lively street market and along the railway to a social restaurant near Hanoi Train Station for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Hoa Lo Prison — the notorious 'Hanoi Hilton' — before continuing to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, his modest stilt house and the historic One-Pillar Pagoda. End the day refreshing with bia hoi, Hanoi's exclusive light rice beer, and local snacks.

Day 3: Hanoi → Quang Phu Cau → Tam Coc
After early breakfast, drive 40 km to Quang Phu Cau Incense Village — a century-old craft village where nearly 10,000 households dye, dry and bundle vibrant red, pink and yellow incense sticks. Picture-perfect from every angle. Continue south to the breathtaking Tam Coc valley, arguably the most beautiful karst landscape in the region. Pick up bicycles for a relaxed ride through picturesque byways, stopping at the three-tiered Bich Dong Pagoda for panoramic valley views. In late afternoon, board a small sampan boat and drift along one of the region's most beautiful waterways in the golden end-of-day light. Check in at Emeralda Tam Coc.

Day 4: Ninh Binh → Halong Bay Cruise
Depart at 8:30 AM for a 3-hour scenic drive across the Red River Delta to the marina. After a warm welcome drink and check-in, board the Paradise Elegance Cruise for a 1-night overnight in the Halong archipelago. Lunch is served as the limestone rocks slide past the windows. Reach a less-travelled corner of the bay in the afternoon — swim, kayak or simply sunbathe. Watch the sun set from the sundeck with an aperitif or join a cooking demonstration before a full dinner on board.
Drive ~2.5 hrs / Hanoi–Halong 150 km
Cruise with English-speaking on-board manager

Day 5: Halong → Hanoi → Da Nang
Early birds can rise at 6:15 AM for a Tai Chi session on the sundeck as the first sunlight touches the emerald water. After breakfast, explore one of the bay's caves before returning on board for a generous brunch as the cruise heads back to shore. Disembark and transfer to Hanoi Airport for your flight to Da Nang. On arrival, transfer to the beach-front Fusion Resort Da Nang and settle in for two nights of coastal calm.
